FantasyAces Weekly Preview

With Week 1 of the college football season down, I’m here to preview what FantasyAces has coming up this week. Before I do that, I want to send congratulations out to Bonuscash and Srepsold for taking down the first CFB Live Final seats.

We touched on the Live College Football Championship last week, and like I said then, it’s a 1 in 13 chance at $40,000. The live final takes place on November 21st and has a $100,000 prize pool.

College Football Week 2

FantasyAces had a lot of overlay in Week 1, but they’re not backing down this week. The $10,000 Bomb is a $27.50 buy-in contest with a $1,500 top prize, and it’s paying out 75 spots. They’ve also brought back the $20,000 Heisman, with a $55 buy-in that pays out $3,000 to first place. This contest allows you to get some solid GPP action, without having to beat a large field of people.

There’s another FantasyAces College Football Championship qualifier this weekend. It’s a $215 buy-in, with only 100 people, and it pays out like a GPP. They will be running satellites all week through their MLB contest.

NFL Week 1

There’s a lot of stuff going on Week 1 across the industry, and FantasyAces has a lot going on as well. They’re running two qualifiers and giving away three seats to the FantasyAces Football Championship in Vegas.

FANFL

The FantasyAces Football Championship (FAFC) is a $500,000 live final. It will take place on December 13 at the Palms in Las Vegas. There will be 40 finalists competing for the $100,000 first place prize. You can find all the details for the FAFC here.

Outside of the two live final qualifiers, they’re some large field 50/50 that I think will overlay. They’re running a $10,000 Kickoff tournament that includes the Thursday night game, and it pays out $1,500 to first place. The big tournament for week one is the $50,000 Hail Mary. It’s a $22 buy-in and it pays $5,000 to first place. This has a very flat payout, and I know it’s what a lot of people in the industry have been asking for.

Let’s talk some strategy for this big Week 1 tournament. There’s a lot of talk about Sam Bradford this week, and I think he’s a very solid option. The one thing that worries me about him, can he stay healthy for a whole football game. I really like the pivot off Bradford to the Ryan/Jones combo. The Eagles secondary really struggled last season, and Julio Jones is one of the best WRs in the NFL. The Washington Redskins had one of the worst offensive units in the NFL last season, and the Miami Dolphins defense added a few key parts this off-season. I think the Dolphins are a great pivot from the Jets and Seahawks for Week 1.

Getting some exposure to solid options is a very good strategy for FLEX players on FantasyAces. There are two guys that I really like fewer than 5K for opening weekend. Jeremy Hill is the first guy, and he draws a very good matchup against the Raiders. Oakland allowed the most points to running backs on FantasyAces last season. The next guy I like a lot is Brandin Cooks. I’m a big fan of him this season, and I wouldn’t be shocked if he has 10+ targets in Week 1. Both of these guys are solid plays, and they come at a very nice discount for Week 1.

If you have any questions about the FantasyAces contest, please leave them in the comments section below. I will answer them as fast as I can. Next week we will recap opening weekend, and get into a little more general strategy for FantasyAces.
