Hello Grinders. We have a six game slate this Saturday night. Five teams are on the backend of a back-to-back (ATL, BKN, CHA, DAL, IND) , so we’ll monitor any news for those teams. As always, let’s do a quick run down on some news and notes for this slate:
Boston Celtics – Al Horford (Practiced Friday and said he’ll play), Marcus Smart (Out)
Brooklyn Nets – Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (Questionable)
Dallas Mavericks – Devin Harris (Out – Personal)
Golden State Warriors – Kevin Durant (Probable)
Indiana Pacers – T.J. Leaf (Questionable), Myles Turner (Questionable)
Miami Heat – Udonis Haslem (Questionable), Tyler Johnson ({robable)
Minnesota Timberwolves – Jimmy Butler (Questionable)
The Jimmy Butler news is the biggest one to monitor. His status has big implications for Nemanja Bjelica and Andrew Wiggins, especially in a nice matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. For now, I’m going to approach this article with the idea he may play and list three other core plays. If Butler gets ruled out before lock, I’ll update the core plays as needed. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson also left Friday’s game early with a groin strain and Joe Harris started the second half for him. He’ll be re-evaluated on Saturday so he’s questionable for now.
