Bailey Fantasy MLB - $1250 FanDuel Single
There’s nothing like an MLB Monday with 15 games going, and none of them starting before 6:40 PM EST. I can sleep in, roll out of bed on my own watch, and tweak my lineup over both lunch and dinner. Don’t get me wrong, I love the roll-out-of-bed-and-role-into-a-lineup strategy, but sometimes the stress-free, day long approach to setting your lineup is very appealing. On these days, I like to set up a lineup before I go to bed (see below), and then tweak it throughout the day as the player news rolls in.
Today, FanDuel offers the $5 MLB Single. It’s a single-entry that offers up to a $300 payout for a miniscule $5 investment. With a large-field contest in mind, and a lot of pitching options available today, I’m going with the strategy of rolling the dice on a cheapest pitching option available with the high potential (forget consistency). Homer Bailey is the empitome of that selection today. With his 2-0 perfect win-loss record, 0.69 ERA, and 0.77 WHIP, he’s the subject of discussion in all fantasy MLB circles right now. And for only $6,600, he offers the upside of Max Scherzer, with a price-tag cheap enough to afford you a 10th player (if that were possible). Instead of grabbing ten players, I upgraded the nine that FanDuel allows in their contests. Here’s my night-before roster for the FanDuelSingle tomorrow:
