Jaguars vs. Saints Player Props for TNF
- Christian Kirk o4.5 Receptions
- Travis Etienne to score a Touchdown
- Derek Carr More Than 0.5 Interceptions
Christian Kirk o4.5 Receptions (-125), Bet365
Alontae Taylor has been the primary slot cornerback for the New Orleans Saints so far in 2023, which has been a good thing for opposing slot receivers and a bad thing for the New Orleans secondary unit. Through six games, Taylor ranks 98th out of 116 players in coverage grade, according to PFF, and has allowed 32 catches on an astounding 51 targets in a relatively short time period. Christian Kirk enters play in Week 7 as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ leading receiver in terms of targets, yards, and first downs. Kirk lines up in the slot more often than any other receiver for Jacksonville, meaning that he should have plenty of opportunities to take advantage of a favorable matchup against Taylor on Thursday. Kirk has cleared this market number in three of six games played in 2023 and has a good chance to make it four of seven games in this spot.
Travis Etienne to score a Touchdown (+115), BetMGM
Travis Etienne has scored multiple rushing touchdowns in each of the last two weeks and he has a chance to extend his scoring streak to three games in a row on Thursday in what should be a low-scoring, physical game. Etienne’s recent volume is the most appealing part of this play, with him receiving at least 18 carries in five of his six games played to begin 2023. Perhaps most importantly, Etienne has received 12 of Jacksonville’s 16 carries inside the red zone this year, meaning that he is likely to be the guy getting the ball if his team finds itself in a short-yardage situation on the goal line. At plus money, this is worth a small stab to start the new week.
NFL DFS Pick’em Picks
Derek Carr More Than 0.5 Interceptions, PrizePicks
According to PFF, Derek Carr has the 5th-highest turnover-worthy-play rate of any qualified quarterback from a clean pocket so far this season. The Jacksonville defense has generated a pressure rate worse than the league average team in five of their first six games played so far in 2023. Simply, Carr does not make good decisions with the football and that is unlikely to change any time soon. Even in a low-scoring affair, it is likely that Carr makes at least one costly mistake in this contest.
