Jets vs. Chiefs Week 4 Showdown NFL DFS Lineup Advice for DraftKings & FanDuel
It’s a Week 4 Showdown matchup featuring the Jets vs. Chiefs, which is almost surely going to be an ugly affair. It’ll be necessary to use RotoGrinders LineupHQ to find ways to get different on FanDuel and DraftKings tonight, as the projected chalk builds in lineup optimizers appears likely to hit. The Jets are in the midst of an incredibly disappointing season after losing Aaron Rodgers to injury, and rumors are swirling around Zach Wilson’s future as a starter. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are firing on all cylinders with Taylor Swift and the whole world behind them. Outside of the Chiefs getting caught up in the hoopla and just totally overlooking this game, it’s hard to imagine a scenario where the Jets can keep it close.
Jets vs. Chiefs Week 4 Showdown Lineup Advice
On both FanDuel and DraftKings, I’ll be setting a rule in LineupHQ that I want a bare minimum of 4 Chiefs players in every single lineup. I’m projecting the Week 4 Showdown matchup between the Jets vs. Chiefs to be a blowout, and I’ll build all my lineups as such. While I’m definitely not recommending it, if there was ever a day to play a backup quarterback, it would be tonight with Tim Boyle. However, I’m much more likely to capitalize on the blowout using as many Chiefs as possible with just one New York Jets player in the majority of my lineups. Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes will be the priorities. I’ll attempt to get one of them in the CPT spot on DraftKings and the MVP spot on FanDuel in as many of my lineups as possible. They’ll occupy the CPT / MVP position in at least 80% of my lineups on both sites, with Chiefs RBs and their D/ST being my only other flyers.
DraftKings Strategy
The biggest difference between the two sites for me is what to do with Mahomes versus Kelce. On DraftKings where the scoring system rewards receptions, Travis Kelce will be my most rostered player at the CPT position. I’ll still get a few Mahomes CPT lineups, but he’ll be by far my highest-owned player in the Flex and likely to be in every single one of my lineups in some capacity. I’ll prioritize spending up for both of them while using Harrison Butker, Chiefs D/ST and their variety of pass catchers in the flex to make it work.
While that’s likely to be somewhat chalky, that’s how I’ll organize things in the lineup optimizer in my cash and single-entry style lineups. It’ll be the same approach in large-field tournaments, but I’ll mix and match the Chiefs RBs and pass-catchers who are projected at lower ownership. Clyde Edwards-Helaire stands out as a cheap contrarian option that pairs well with the Chiefs D/ST, and I won’t hesitate pairing multiple Chiefs RBs together in the same lineup alongside the D/ST. In Mahomes CPT lineups, I’ll prioritize Jerick McKinnon since he’s in mostly a pass-catching back, and I’ll take shots on Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Rashee Rice and Kadarius Toney alongside Kelce.
Favorite Large-Field CPTs: Travis Kelce, Isiah Pacheco, Chiefs D/ST
Favorite Large-Field GPP Shots: Rashee Rice, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Tyler Conklin
FanDuel Strategy
The biggest difference on FanDuel will be prioritizing Patrick Mahomes at the MVP position instead of Kelce. The Chiefs receivers are all cheap outside of Kelce, so it’s easy to get the maximum number of Chiefs players in lineups. It’ll be chalky, but there are still contrarian ways to go about it. Rashee Rice and Marquez Valdes-Scantling remain my favorite options for Mahomes MVP teams, but I’ll be more likely to take attempts on RBs in this spot as well on a site like FanDuel that rewards touchdowns more and receptions less.
Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire are my two favorite contrarian captains, with the Chiefs D/ST being right up there with them. I’ll have multiple combinations of lineups that feature all three of them together with either Mahomes, Butker, or Kelce and just one single Jets player alongside them. I can’t imagine many scenarios where the Jets are successful offensively, so 100% of my MVP exposure will belong to Chiefs players.
