League of Legends LCS DFS Preview: Saturday, June 20th

Slate Overview

While the weekends have been packed with loads of DFS options from MMA to Nascar, we are also getting tons of LoL slates. This LCS slate will consist of 4 Best-of-1 games, all of which are reasonably close matchups, excluding Cloud9, so we should see a nice spread of ownership. We only have 2 games under our belt for the Summer Split so it remains to be seen if some of these teams like Evil Geniuses and CLG are actually improved or just have had 1 or 2 good games. I will lean on a mix of Spring and Summer Split stats throughout this Summer split until I feel the numbers have stabilized over 2 weeks. Again, sample size is very small with LEC and LCS as they only play 1 game per match, as opposed to 3 for LPL and LCK. For this reason, I am much more focused on leveraging faster paced games and specifically strong TEAM positions that control objectives well. The ability for a team to control dragons and Barons is really underrated when it comes to offensive players performances in BO1.
