13. South Dakota State vs. 4. Providence

PICK: Nate Watson OVER 13.5 Points

I’m not really sure what I’m going to do with this Providence/SDSU game – I think the line is pretty fair here around 2, but what I am really interested in is this Nate Watson player prop. Watson generally struggles to stay on the court if a team has a 5-out rotation, but if he manages to stay on the court he’s one of the major shot takers on the team. South Dakota State, while they have a massively efficient offense, struggles to defend anyone, especially teams that can score around the rim. Not only that, but Douglas Wilson is a guy who almost never steps out to the three point line, making Nate Watson able to play in this game without much trouble. Watson should get 30+ minutes here, take 10+ shots – I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think he has a very efficient time around the rim against a small SDSU team that doesn’t defend well. – Jon Schiller

9. Marquette vs. 8. North Carolina

PICK: Armando Bacot OVER 39.5 Fantasy Points

We are basically fading the dreaded two foul autobench here – Bacot is an absolute fantasy monster with a 44% combined rebounding rate, 23% shot rate, and 5.5% block rate. He has a DREAM matchup against a Marquette team that has no ability to rebound, whatsoever. They are 330th on the offensive end and 306th on the defensive end. I would not be surprised if Bacot ended up with 20 rebounds in this game, especially considering the tempo is projected to be 73 here. – Jon Schiller

15. Saint Peter’s vs. 2. Kentucky

PICK: Oscar Tshiebwe OVER 3.5 Free Throws Made

Saint Peter’s have some of the best defensive metrics for a 15 seed that you will ever see, as they check in at 34th in defensive efficiency and 6th in effective field goal percentage defense. However, they have not had to deal with anyone like Oscar yet this year and when looking at their defensive profile on thing REALLY stuck out. Saint Peter’s fouls soooooo much. They are 347th nationally in in Free Throws Allowed per Field Goals Allowed, meaning they send the opponent to the line early and often – and that was against a lot of MAAC opponents. A lot of these Oscar post touches and offensive rebound putbacks are going to be free throw trips. Oscar shoots a decent 69.3% from the stripe and should get the volume to hit the over here. – Alex Hardin
