Happy Saturday! You’re stuck with me this weekend, as your usual fearless Saturday leader is in New York for the DraftKings Live Final tonight! We’ll have a link to the final up later, so you can follow along and root on Justin in this contest tonight.
As for our Saturday slate, we’ve got a 10-game Main Slate to tackle, but first there is a short four-game afternoon slate starting at 4:05 ET. I’ll focus on the Main Slate, but here’s a quick peek at the early four.
EARLY SLATE OVERVIEW
The pitching is not great for this early slate, but there is at least one guy with obvious tournament upside in Robbie Ray going into Cincinnati. The risk is always there with Ray, the walks and hard hits are high as usual, but man those strikeouts! He has better than a strikeout per inning in 10 of 14 starts, and an overall 30.8% K rate that blows away anyone else on this slate. The right-handed power for the Reds outside of Suarez is non-threatening enough that I’m happy to take his risk and play for these strikeouts today in all formats.
