Tuesday, September 11th
Happy Tuesday! We’ve got a 13-game main slate on DK/FDRFT, with FD skipping the second game of the Nationals-Phillies doubleheader for a 12-game slate. Outside of Jacob deGrom, this is a very rough night for pitching. There are a few offenses that stand out, but it’s mostly jumbled again tonight for the bats. There are a few games with some rain concerns on the East Coast, but hopefully it will not be as messy as last night. I’ll be on Crunch Time with Kevin Roth at 6:30 ET, so check in there for final thoughts and the latest info on the weather.
Also note that I am pretty confused on DK in looking at this Washington-Philadelphia game. It is listed as a 13-game slate, but the pitchers are marked in red on the lineup page, and a note up top saying players will not count. But, that may just be for the first game of the doubleheader. I will investigate this further when I have time, but it looks to me like a 13-gamer, which would have to include the 2nd game.
TUESDAY NIGHT PITCHING
IT LOOKS LIKE TWO ACES, BUT IT’S ONLY ONE
Chris Sale vs Toronto – Sale is back off the DL, giving us what looks like a second ace on this slate, but it’s just a mirage. He is scheduled to be limited to two innings or 40 pitches tonight, so this is not Chris Sale. One side note, kudos to FanDuel for being on top of the situation and pricing him at $7,000. DK/FDRFT totally missed it and have him fully priced. Even at the FD salary, two innings is not going to cut it, so we’re still left with just one ace tonight.
