MLB Big Events: Recap of the Mega Perfect Game and Super Strikeout
As the summer winds down, so does the MLB regular season and the grind that is day-to-day baseball, but we still have the $1,000,000 Championships to look forward to! Last night wasn’t an incredibly busy night across the industry, but we did see DraftKings run a $300K Mega Perfect Game in addition to FanDuel running one a $100K Super Strikeout in addition to the first round of High Roller Q’s. Let’s see which of our members put up a big Tuesday night!
DraftKings $300K Mega Perfect Game

Last night’s Mega Perfect Game paid out $100K (or $50K and an Atlantis seat) to 1st place, and I’m happy to say it was one of our own who took this thing down. SteveAvery (TotallyTilt on RG) finished on top with a score of 196.55, more then 10 FP’s ahead of the runner-up. SteveAvery has only been a member for a short time (he joined in mid July), but he’s certainly made a name for himself with this W. After the Rangers won 16-0 last night in Chicago, it’s not hard to believe that the winner stacked them. Arencibia, Beltre, Choo, Andrus, Rosales and Rios were all in on the action to some extent, with Arencibia being the top value (and overall producer) of the group with 30 FP’s. Outside of the Rangers, his Felix/Keuchel pitching duo was solid, and he also caught a 3-run HR from rookie Kennys Vargas. Rigby was the runner-up in this one with a Felix/Cueto pitching staff to go along with a Royals stack. Salvador Perez and Nori Aoki both put up at least 24 FP’s, while Billy Butler crossed the 30 mark with four hits (1 HR) and three RBI’s. Our very own stlcardinals84 finished 3rd, with a Texas stack that also included Miggy and Jay Bruce. He could have been a serious contender for the top spot had Alex Wood pitched better, but a $20,000 payout is a nice consolation. STL also had a 6th place finish that brought him home another $5K. Golf_Coach, rotoshannon (smckeown on RG), Al_Smizzle and McJester also finished in the top ten.
In case you’re curious, here’s what it took to take down $100K last night

FanDuel $100K Super Strikeout

Devinr12 was the only member of the field to cross the 70 FP mark, with his four player Rangers stack of Arencibia, Rosales, Beltre and Rios accounting for a big chunk of his offensive numbers. He also stacked the Orioles (Davis, Hardy, Cruz, Young) and was able to pair this two team stack with King Felix. This was one of those night’s that J.P. Arencibia decided he was Babe Ruth, picking up three hits (including a HR) to go along with 4 RBI’s. Anyone who rostered him was miles ahead of the field in GPP’s. Third place finisher a25smith didn’t stack a team, but was able to hit on Billy Butler in Jay Bruce to along with a big night on the mound for the King. Toddy (aka jordantodd on RG) finished tied for 5th place while a Rangers/Orioles stack that just so happened to include the Royals’ Billy Butler. Sullyconn was also tied for 5th place, thanks to double-digit performances from Sal Perez and Billy Butler. Canigetahottub (aka djmoss on RG) and coninefan also finished in the top ten.
