What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – OAK -110
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Wade Davis has turned his season around posting a 4.12 ERA in June, which is by no means great but on par with his career average. He has been traditionally better at home and he catches this OAK team at the right time because the have been struggling to put up runs. OAK is batting .254 on the road, .248 versus right-handers, and .237 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 5
- Away Tommy Milone gave up 3 HRs in his last start. He has given up 12 HRs in his last 8 starts and seen his ERA steadily climb. He has been bad on the road with 5.07 ERA and draws a KAN team that has looked better lately. KAN is batting .250 at home, .272 versus left-handers, and .272 over the last 7 days. *RG Start-Ability *
Batter Grind Down
- Home Anytime a pitcher is struggling with a longball then everyone is playable. A super hot Eric Hosmer and Billy Butler are your best bets. RG Stack Rating 6
- Away Josh Donaldson continues his great season with 25 fp over the past 7 days. He is batting .298 versus right-handers. Jed Lowrie is batting .319 versus right-handers as well. RG Stack Rating 4

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – STL -180
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Jake Westbrook has been hit hard in his last 2 starts. It would seem that his low 2.95 ERA is normalizing back to his career average of 4.25. He actually has a higher WHIP on the year than his career average of 1.40 so this seems highly likely. With a K/9 of only 3.98 on the year, I do not see any reason to play him even on a multiple pitcher site. He seems to be a lock to get the win but is overpriced with limited upside. MIA is batting .233 on the road, .238 versus right-handers, and .260 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 3
- Away Jacob Turner has dazzled since joining the rotation with 5 quality starts in 6 outings. He is a groundball machine. He will truly be tested today by the league’s 3rd highest scoring offense in STL who is a great home team. STL is batting .277 at home, .287 versus right-handers, and .273 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 4
Batter Grind Down
- Home Matt Carpenter, Aleen Craig and Matt Adams have been the hottest Cardinals. Every starter has a good to great BA versus right-handers so consider everyone playable. RG Stack Rating 5
- Away Placido Polanco is 11-31 versus Westbrook. Jeff Mathis and Logan Morrison have been hot for MIA. Morrison is batting .405 versus right-handers. RG Stack Rating 3

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – ARI -115
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Tyler Skaggs has looked awful in his last 2 starts. I will say this about him, at least this start is not in COL. I see no reason to take him today unless he is super cheap on a multiple pitcher site. COL is batting .258 on the road, .269 versus left-handers, and .256 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 3
- Away This is another spot where I think Vegas has the favorite wrong. Jorge De La Rosa has been fantastic on the year with a 3.06 ERA, which is even more outstanding considering half of his starts come in COL. He is dealing with a sore thumb so that might be enough reason to back away from him but I like him to perform today versus an ARI team batting .255 at home, .254 versus left-handers, and .246 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 5
Batter Grind Down
- Home Paul Goldschmidt versus a left-hander at home is an automatic recommendation. Cody Ross has been hoty with 20.25 fp over the last week and is batting .384 versus left-handers. Will Nieves is batting .382 versus left-handers also. RG Stack Rating
- Away Michael Cuddyer has been the hottest Rockie. He is batting .310 versus left-handers on the year and Carlos Gonzalez is batting .309 versusm them as well so I would not worry about the lefty/lefty matchup. Consider everyone playable versus this struggling pitcher. RG Stack Rating 5

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – LAA -132
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home C.J. Wilson is having a great year and has been fantastic at home with a 2.65 ERA but I cannot bring myself to start him against the league’s number 1 offense. BOS is batting .262 on the road, .253 versus left-handers, and .331 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 5
- Away Felix Doubront has had quality start in 5 out of his last 7 games. He is a high K/9 guy but he rarely goes deep into games. LAA is batting .280 at home, .238 versus left-handers, and .268 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 3
Batter Grind Down
- Home Josh Hamilton is 4-9 with 3 XBHs versus Doubront and has been hot with 24.5 fp over the last week.. Shuck, Trout, Kendrick, and Bourjos are all batting over .300 versus right-handers. RG Stack Rating 5
- Away Dustin Pedroia is 8-17 with 1 HR versus Wilson and kills left-handed pitching. Jonny Gomes is 5-15 with 1 HR versus him. Jacoby Ellsbury has been hot over the last week with 23.5 fp. RG Stack Rating 4

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 6.5
- Favored Team – SFO -127
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Matt Cain is the slight favorite today in what seems to be a pitcher’s duel on paper. After a horrible April, he has lowered his BAA to .195 and his 1.07 WHIP is more in line with a player who has a low 3 ERA than it is with a player with a plus 4. He was one of the best home pitchers in baseball a year ago and I have to believe that he turns things around this year. LAD is batting .264 on the road, .261 versus left-handers, and .310 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 7
- Away Hyun-Jin Ryu has run into a little trouble on the road but he has pitched well in his 3 starts versus SFO with a 2.86 ERA. SFO hits left-handers very well and is a great hitting home team so I am more in line to trust their batters than I am Ryu but he has GPP upside if you are willing to gamble and Cain has not been reliable so far this year. SFO is batting .276 at home, .279 versus left-handers, and .162 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 6
Batter Grind Down
- Home SFO as a team has a .362 BAA versus Ryu so everyone has good numbers. Buster Posey has been the only productive giant over the last 7 days. Posey, Pence, Scutaro, Torres, Belt and Sandoval are all batting over .300 versus left-handers. RG Stack Rating 3
- Away LAD just came out of a series in COL so there are a few hot players but I am trusting Vegas on this one and saying that the game will be low scoring. Andre Either is 28-63 with 1 HR versus Cain. Adrian Gonzalez is 20-63 with 4 HRs. RG Stack Rating 3
