Pitchers
- Home Jonathan Niese is dirt cheap across the board tonight and falls into the same range that Vogelsong did last night. You have to think that his numbers will come down a bit after he had a very good season last year. While I wouldn’t go too crazy with Niese, I think he is a solid play at home today. The Reds are full of left hand bats and if Niese can stay away from walks, he should be ok. In Play
- Away Mike Leake has been pretty average this season, especially on the road. While he did pitch well in his last start, it was against the Marlins so it’s tough to give him too much credit. I think he makes a decent play on sites that allow more than one pitcher, but I wouldn’t bank on him if I could only choose one pitcher. In Play
Batters
- Home It’s tough to take hitters from a game that is projected to be pretty low scoring. I usually don’t look too far outside of David Wright on the Mets and he is only 1/10 against Leake in his career. I am going to look elsewhere for my hitters.
- Away Brandon Phillips has a solid history against Niese going 5/13 with 2 HR’s off of him. Jay Bruce is riding a hit streak. Either of these two are good options if you think Niese will implode again.

Pitchers
- Home Don’t look now but the Marlins have a win streak. Granted, it’s only one game but hey it’s a start. I have a feeling that they will make it two in a row tonight with Jose Fernandez on the mound. This rookie has been electric with an average of 9 K’s per 9 innings. He has also pitched very well at home and the Phillies will likely be without Ryan Howard again. Only thing you have to worry about is that run support. Target
- Away Tyler Cloyd has a great matchup and a solid strikeout rate per 9 innings. I think both of these young pitchers will really pitch well so it’s just going to come down to which one makes a mistake and allows a run or two to score. In Play
Batters
- Home Over/under of 7.0 does not get me excited about any of these hitters on Miami.
- Away Same goes for the Phillies.

Pitchers
- Home I’m surprised this line is only at -200. Straily has looked awful and Yu Darvish is well.. Yu Darvish. He is almost averaging 13 K’s per 9 innings which is incredible. He is going to cost you a pretty penny tonight, but I think he will be worth it, especially on FanDuel where wins are so valuable. Target
- Away Dan Straily is a high strikeout pitcher, but he has also has high numbers in stats that you don’t want to be high: WHIP and ERA. Straily struggled against Texas when he faced them in Oakland, now he has to face them in Arlington, one of the most advantageous parks for hitters. Avoid
Batters
- Home This is a good spot for the Rangers bats. They are at home against a pitcher that they just had success against a week ago. I think you can find value here too in David Murphy, he was second in the lineup last night and is almost minimum salary on FD. But my favorite play on the Rangers is Mitch Moreland who is an XBH king and who has 7 HR’s already this month.
- Away Coco Crisp has had success off of Yu in the past, but the sample size is small and he is just as likely to go 0-4 with 2 K’s tonight. Stay away from the A’s bats, too much risk.

Pitchers
- Home Hiram Burgos is not one of my favorite pitchers to take. While he has been pretty good at home, he doesn’t strike out a ton of batters and after Matt Kemp HR last night, I think he is going to start hitting them much more often. Avoid
- Away Zach Greinke has been a much better pitcher at home throughout his career and he will likely be on a pitch count again tonight. Two things that I don’t like to hear when deciding which pitcher to take. I think there are better options, especially for the price. Avoid
Batters
- Home Only two Brewers have actually recorded hits off of Greinke, but the sample size is very small. I think Greinke will pitch fairly well, but I also expect the Brewers to score a few runs. Basically, I think the Brewers bats are a bit overpriced for their matchup.
- Away Matt Kemp hit only his second HR of the season and maybe this will start a string of HR’s. The matchup against Burgos is certainly a good one for the Dodgers and the left hand bats of Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez, and Andre Ethier are all in play as well.

Pitchers
- Home Jose Quintana has looked good at times and looked average most other times. His ERA and WHIP are very average and the matchup against the Red Sox has to be below average. Avoid
- Away If the White Sox can get a hold of the solid lefty Jon Lester, I’m excited to see what they will do to Felix Doubront tonight. While he pitched well in his last game, he really got lucky in quite a few spots and left a ton of runners on base. He is a high strikeout pitcher, but not one that I trust. Avoid
Batters
- Home Alex Rios and Dayan Viciedo are two plays that are close to the top of my list tonight. Viciedo is crushing lefties this season with an average of .409 and an OPS of .962. Then we have Alex Rios who is riding a 16 game hitting streak. He will easily keep that streak going tonight.
- Away Look at the right hand bats of the Red Sox in this one. Shane Victorino, Dustin Pedroia, and Will Middlebrooks are all solid against lefties.
