MLB DFS Lineup Advice Today

Tuesday night brings us a 10-game slate with a game in Coors Field, the wind blowing out at Wrigley Field, and the White Sox trying to score more than 2 runs for just the second time in their past eight games. There appears to be minimal weather concerns on the main slate, and make sure to tune in for GrindersLive and Crunch Time as starting lineups roll out. Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

The wind is blowing out at Wrigley Field, and WeatherEdge shows a 58.8% increase in home runs in 44 games with similar weather conditions. Having played DFS for several of the slates involving games which I imagine make up part of that 44-game sample, I’ve learned not to question the wind blowing out at Wrigley, particularly because it’s something the field doesn’t always adjust to like they do with Coors Field. I like both offenses here, but I’ll side with the Astros and their guaranteed 9th-inning plate appearances. Left-hander Jordan Wicks is pitching for the Cubs. He has a 4.70 ERA and 1.43 WHIP across 51.2 major league innings, and the Astros had the 2nd-best SLG% in the league against LHP last season.

I like both of the lefty bats, Kyle Tucker and Yordan Alvarez, and I’ll be pairing them in lineups together when I can afford it. Tucker has a .278 ISO and .412 wOBA against LHP dating back to the start of last season, and Alvarez has outstanding numbers as well (.232 ISO and .406 wOBA). Hitting lower in the order but providing some savings, Chas McCormick (.421 wOBA) and Jose Abreu (.196 ISO) are options as well.
