MLB DFS Lineup Advice Today

We have a big 12-game slate on tap for Friday night on both FanDuel and DraftKings. The first pitch for the slate is at 7:05 PM ET. With so many teams in play, we have a lot of options to choose from. There are some strong strikeout options on the mound, but we’ll have to pay up for them, and we have a wide selection of top bats on offense as well. There is some rain in the forecast as well, so make sure you stay on top of the latest weather forecast leading up to look. You can find more specifics on our MLB weather page.

Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

The Reds are my top stack today, facing RHP Yonny Chirinos at home in Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. Cincy is carrying the second-highest implied run total on the slate, but they are not seeing outsized pOWN%, and the field may be underestimating the Reds’ upside vs. Chirinos. The Reds rank 6th in ISO vs. RHP this season, and Chirinos had a 6.24 xFIP and just a 14.4% K% last season. The Reds add some excellent stolen base upside as well, leading the majors with 133 SBs this season.

Elly De La Cruz is my top bat on the Reds with a .251 ISO and .366 wOBA vs. RHP this season and a league-leading 45 SBs (16 more than any other batter). If you are looking for more affordable options, Jeimer Candelario has a .238 ISO vs. RHP over the past 2 seasons, while Spencer Steer has a .182 ISO and .343 wOBS vs. RHP over the same time frame.
