MLB DFS Lineup Advice Today

Tuesday night brings a smallish 8-game main slate on both FanDuel and DraftKings, with a game in Coors Field and a wind game in Wrigley Field. We’ll have to make some decisions picking between those offenses, along with some pricey pitchers with strong upside and cheaper pitchers in good spots drawing high projected ownership. Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

Top MLB DFS Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel

Top Stacks

Overall Stack: Chicago Cubs
Implied Run Total: 5.01 (2nd)
Projected Total Ownership: 88% (FD) / 102% (DK)

I don’t always like to name a team with high projected ownership as my top stack, and the Cubs are currently estimated at the highest total pOWN% on DraftKings and the 2nd-highest pOWN% on FanDuel. But wind games in Wrigley Field can be an exception. WeatherEdge shows a 51.2% increase in HRs and a 17.5% increase in total runs in a 145-game sample for games in Wrigley Field played under similar conditions to tonight. The Cubs are facing San Diego RHP Randy Vasquez, who has given up 5 HRs in 22.2 IP across Triple-A and MLB this season, and Cubs players have some of the highest HR odds on the day.

Christopher Morel is my favorite bat here, with a .237 ISO and .339 wOBA against RHP going back to the start of last season, the best HR odds for any player on the day, and an affordable price tag compared to the top bats on other teams. Patrick Wisdom has a .309 ISO against RHP over the same time frame, and youngster Pete Crow-Armstrong is a dual threat who had 20 HRs and 37 SBs in the minor leagues last season in 438 at-bats and is very affordable on both sites.
