MLB DFS Lineup Advice Today

We have a 7-game slate on tap. WSH/ATL (starting at 7:20 PM ET) is the first game on the slate for the second night in a row, which means a few more minutes for both our lineups and for Crunch Time. Cleveland is in Coors Field again in another excellent spot for their lineup, and it will be interesting to see how the ownership spreads out on this slate after they put up 13 runs last night with 4 HRs. Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

I badly want to put any other team in this spot, with the Guardians an obvious choice that is likely to draw considerable ownership. While you can make an argument for going with another stack if you think the ownership will get too high, there’s no question that Cleveland is in an excellent spot, with an implied team total a full run higher than any other team. Last season, the Guardians developed a reputation for being a good-hitting team that didn’t strike out much but was of limited use for fantasy baseball, as they strung multiple hits together more than slugging home runs. This season, however, Cleveland ranks 5th in the league in ISO, and they have been particularly good against LHP, ranking 2nd in ISO and SLG% and 3rd in wOBA.

Cleveland isn’t just facing a lefty tonight, they’re facing Ty Blach, who has just a 10.5% K% on the season, and they’re facing him in Coors Field. Jose Ramirez is the headliner as he usually is with Cleveland, but don’t overlook David Fry, who has a .622 SLG% this season, or Josh Naylor, who has a .510 SLG% after his 2 HRs last night.
