Covering The Bases: MLB DFS Picks Today for Saturday 6/27

Long-time grinder Justin Van Zuiden (aka stlcardinals84) is here to cover the bases for the upcoming MLB DFS slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Justin has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his favorite MLB DFS picks today on June 27, 2026.
Happy Saturday, Grinders! It is crazy to think that this is the final weekend of June, and we are basically halfway through the major league season. Time flies when you are having fun! We have the usual split slate on tap today, but this one is heavily skewed toward the night games. As such, that will be the focus of the article today.
There is also an early 4-game slate on DK that starts at 3:07 PM ET, and we’ll have Expert tags and analysis available in our MLB DFS optimizer, LineupHQ, to help get you started if you’re playing that slate.
With the housekeeping out of the way, let’s get to the breakdown of the evening slate!
Saturday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on DraftKings and FanDuel

TOP TIER PITCHERS
- Yoshinobu Yamamoto at Padres
- Kyle Harrison vs. Cubs
- Logan Gilbert at Guardians
- Logan Webb vs. Braves
We have a strong group of top tier pitchers tonight, with 4 arms that can reasonably be considered as aces on any given day. As usual, we will begin the proceedings with a look at the 2026 data:
Yamamoto – 2.65 ERA, 3.19 xFIP, 24.6% K, 4.9% BB
Harrison – 2.50 ERA, 3.14 xFIP, 30.0% K, 6.2% BB
Gilbert – 3.29 ERA, 3.59 xFIP, 27.2% K, 6.0% BB
Webb – 3.35 ERA, 3.51 xFIP, 20.8% K, 5.9% BB
Let’s get the easy part out of the way first. The Mariners are doing this weird thing where they piggyback a starter with another starter once a week, which allows them to keep all 6 of their available starters fresh. Tonight, it will be Logan Gilbert and Emerson Hancock splitting a game. That means Gilbert isn’t going any more than 5 innings or about 75 pitches, and it makes zero logical sense to pay a DFS premium for him under those circumstances. I don’t mind the matchup, but there is simply no ceiling potential here on a slate that offers a respectable amount of good pitching. Cross him off your list.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets the nod as the most well-known pitcher going this evening, though Kyle Harrison might have the better overall profile this season. However, I do expect Harrison’s strikeouts to dip a bit as the season goes along, as a 30% strikeout rate is generally not sustainable with a 13% swinging-strike rate. To put that in perspective, Harrison’s swinging-strike rate is only 1% higher than Yamamoto’s. Yamamoto also has elite command, which allows the Dodgers starter to pitch deep into games. I also prefer the matchup for Yamamoto tonight, as he gets to face a Padres team that still ranks 2nd to last in the league (ahead of only the flailing Mets) in team wOBA against RHP this year. Meanwhile, Harrison has a more difficult matchup against a Cubs team that has been playing solid baseball. I’ll take Yamamoto as my SP1, but Harrison is certainly viable as well, especially in multi-entry tournaments.
Finally, we round out this tier with Logan Webb. He doesn’t come close to the other elite pitchers with strikeouts, but he gets the job done with a lot of ground balls and getting deep into games himself. In fact, he has pitched exactly 8 innings in 3 consecutive starts, which is a rare feat in baseball these days. Webb has a sparkling 0.87 ERA with a 23:2 K:BB ratio in 4 starts this month, and he looks as sharp as ever. The matchup against the Braves is a bit of a downgrade, but I feel like Webb doesn’t get the respect he deserves in DFS circles. He’s a fine option, especially if the pOWN% stays low.
I am ranking this tier as Yamamoto > Webb > Harrison tonight, though the dividing lines among them are thin. Gilbert is not an option given his limited pitch count with Hancock following him.
