Covering The Bases: MLB DFS Picks Today for Sunday 6/7

Long-time grinder Justin Van Zuiden (aka stlcardinals84) is here to cover the bases for the upcoming MLB DFS slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Justin has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his favorite MLB DFS picks today on June 7, 2026.
Happy Sunday, MLB Grinders! We have a large 10-game slate on tap, and the slates match on both DraftKings and FanDuel. It’s always a glorious day when that happens. Given the larger size of the slate, FanDuel has elected to leave the Coors Field game OFF of their main slate, which differs from their usual approach. In any case, we should have a day where the MLB weather cooperates across the league (with the exception of the almost daily chance of pop-up storms in Atlanta in June), so it should be all systems go for lineup building.
The kids are also having a field day with today’s date being 6/7, so that’s a cause for celebration.
6/7 jokes aside, I will say that this looks to be a tricky slate with a lot of fuzzy dividing lines. There are a lot of teams with implied team totals in the range of 4.5 runs, and I am not seeing a ton that I absolutely love at first glance. In any case, let’s dive in and see what Sunday has to offer for MLB DFS picks!
Sunday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on DraftKings and FanDuel

TOP TIER PITCHERS
- Cam Schlittler vs. Red Sox
- Jacob deGrom vs. Guardians
- Kevin Gausman vs. Orioles
We start things off with a trio of pitchers at the top of the board, and all three of them have shown plenty of upside at various times. As usual, I’ll start things off with an overview of the 2026 data:
Schlittler – 1.89 ERA, 2.83 xFIP, 28.5% K, 4.4% BB
deGrom – 3.48 ERA, 3.16 xFIP, 30.1% K, 5% BB
Gausman – 3.36 ERA, 3.40 xFIP, 24.3% K, 4.6% BB
All of these pitchers are tremendous. Cam Schlittler has the best ERA by a wide margin, and that’s probably why he’s the most expensive on both sites. However, his xFIP isn’t all that much lower than deGrom’s and Gausman’s. Another thing that stands out about these pitchers is that all three of them have walk rates of 5% or less. With walk rates elevated throughout the league these days thanks to the ABS challenges, that is tremendous.
The one clear thing that stands out among this group is that Kevin Gausman hasn’t been able to quite keep up on the strikeout front. His K% rate is quite a bit lower than the others, and I don’t think Gausman can match their ceilings. That puts him as a clear #3 in this group. That’s not necessarily an indictment of Gausman as much as it is a comment about how slate context is important. On a different day, Gausman could easily be the SP1. That’s just not the case today.
With Gausman bringing up the caboose on this train, it’s between Schlittler and deGrom for SP1 honors.
