MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, June 26

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Byron Buxton
ebeimfohr: Byron Buxton
boggslite: Byron Buxton
Dean78904: Junior Caminero (FD) / Byron Buxton (DK)

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: The slate starts with the decision on Jacob Misiorowski. When I look at the hitting slate, I just don’t see the spend-up bats being a high priority, so I lean towards loading up on The Miz. As far as contest size, I guess I slightly prefer MME, because there are only two stacks I really like, and they are the only two that might end up kind of popular – the Twins and White Sox. After them, it’s really just a bunch of dart-throwing, and there are at least 7–8 other stacks I want in my primary lineups. I’ll also say that I plan to be underweight on Taj Bradley chalk, as I’d rather pivot to Roki Sasaki and J.T. Ginn and stay on the Twins and White Sox bats.

ebeimfohr: My general take on this slate is that there are several different hitting spots with major upside but almost no quality pitching spots. That makes Jacob Misiorowski stand out even more than usual, despite the hefty price tag. There is plenty of value to make The Miz work, and I’ll be taking the floor he provides on this slate that has basically no floor at pitcher. That means I’ll be looking to find some of the stacks/bats who are projecting to be under-owned in smaller-field tournaments, especially because the ownership will condense even more in lineups that have Misiorowski due to the roster limitations caused by his price.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – Jacob Misiorowski will be a priority for me, especially with the lack of high-end stacks worth paying up for. There are several decent midrange options at pitcher to pair him with on DK, with J.T. Ginn, Joey Cantillo, and Taj Bradley my favorites. The Twins are my favorite stack, but I will also have some exposure to the Royals, White Sox, Orioles, and Brewers.

Dean78904: I focus mostly on single-entry and smaller-field contests. We have 26 teams on this slate, and not one of them (except Minnesota) has an implied team total above 5 runs or is in an elite hitting environment. This means I’m prioritizing Jacob Misiorowski. On DK, I don’t really have a front-runner as far as who to pair him with, but Taj BradleyRoki SasakiJ.T. Ginn, and Joey Cantillo are in the pool of likely candidates. The Twins and White Sox are really compatible with The Miz, as they have a lot of affordable pieces and face two of the weaker arms on the slate. If I had more salary to play with, I’d look to teams like the Dodgers, Athletics, Orioles, Braves, or Phillies to stack, but I’m unlikely to be able to fully afford them.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
