Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

ebeimfohr: Ketel Marte
boggslite: Ketel Marte
Dean78904: Ketel Marte
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: I will be playing around 20 entries in the larger-field tournaments. I plan to take some chalky plays with my hitters, as the Coors Field game clearly stands out ahead of the pack. I also like the Dodgers and Athletics quite a bit. I am going to narrow down my pitching pool to just a few pitchers, as I don’t love the options. Cam Schlittler is my favorite, and I plan to be significantly overweight on him, with Connelly Early as my potentially low-owned tournament option.
ebeimfohr: I will be focusing on smaller-field tournaments, with a heavy priority on Coors Field. As such, I will be pivoting around at pitcher and taking a stand against the arms who become chalky now in the absence of Blake Snell after his scratch.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – There are days when fading Coors Field chalk is a good idea, but today is not one of them. We have two gas cans on the mound, with warm weather and the winds blowing out, making Arizona and Colorado a priority for me. I will look to get different with my pitchers, where I expect ownership to be more spread out.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field tournaments. I’m surprised how low our current pOWN% (7% FD / 25% DK) is for Cam Schlittler, as I expect to play him in most of my lineups. Part of the reason why I’m so keen on paying for Cam is that I just don’t trust or love anyone else, so I would be thrilled if the pOWN% mostly holds. It is going to be hard to ignore ARI/COL, and I like it plenty, but I am going to first prioritize Schlittler even if it costs me a big bat in Coors. Officially, I’m still debating how to handle the Coors Field game for my main lineup, and there are plenty of pivots to consider (Dodgers, Giants, and Athletics) if I’m looking to get under the field. The other option I’m considering is working the Rangers into my lineups, as they will be mostly ignored in single-entry tournaments.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
