MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, May 29
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
CheeseIsGood: Rafael Devers
ebeimfohr: Rafael Devers
Dean78904: Rafael Devers
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
CheeseIsGood: After the top two teams, there is such a huge tangled group of stacks with similar upside that I much prefer playing single-entry tournaments where I don’t have to try and find the random outliers. I have enough confidence in the Yankees and Giants to think they can win smaller-field tournaments, but it’s also highly likely that a few teams outscore them, and I know I can’t identify which ones they are. Even at pitcher, I don’t have any super-strong leans, and I don’t want to just start throwing darts at everybody. This is a slate where I’d want 150 lineups spread out far and wide in MME, and that is not what I am going to do.
ebeimfohr: This slate is completely wide open on both the hitting and pitching sides, with no options so far above the rest that we need to prioritize them regardless of projected ownership. That means I’ll really be getting off the beaten path across my entire lineup in smaller-field tournaments and taking multiple shots at contrarian options on both the hitting and pitching sides.
Dean78904: My biggest dilemma is potentially fading Carlos Rodon, who should be very popular in the single-entry and smaller-field contests that I focus on. I’m currently leaning toward mostly avoiding Rodon, with Max Meyer and MacKenzie Gore as my favorite pivots. Dodging Rodon would make it easier to lean in on the popular Giants and Yankees. The Blue Jays, Cubs, and A’s are next up and will very likely be the majority of teams in my few lineups.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
