MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, September 6
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
CheeseIsGood: Gunnar Henderson
boggslite: Gunnar Henderson
ebeimfohr: Fernando Tatis
Dean78904: Fernando Tatis
Who is your favorite hitter (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
CheeseIsGood: Wyatt Langford and Josh Jung – I am a little worried that the Texas righties will turn into chalk, but for now, everything still appears to be spread out enough that we don’t need to overthink it. Sam Aldegheri skipped Triple-A, and we really have no idea how his stuff is going to translate to the majors. But to me, it looks like a major red flag that he managed just a 3.8% swinging strike rate in his first start. He is likely to have control and power issues, so if the strikeouts aren’t there, this is a kid with a lot of downside. Langford and Jung join Marcus Semien and Adolis Garcia to give the Rangers a strong top four with right-handed power that is quite affordable. Langford and Jung are both hitting the ball hard and in the air with fly ball rates above 38%, hard hits above 46% and barrel rates above 11%.
boggslite: Josh Jung – Finally healthy after missing much of the season due to injury, Jung draws a great matchup against an unproven lefty in Sam Aldegheri, who will be making his second career start. Jung, meanwhile, owns a .414 wOBA and a .274 ISO against LHP dating back to last season and is simply underpriced, hitting in the middle of this talented Rangers lineup.

ebeimfohr: Wyatt Langford – After a shaky start, Langford has been far better down the stretch despite the Rangers’ lack of team success. He has particularly hammered LHP, posting a .393 xwOBA and .269 xISO this year, which jumps to .445 and .314, respectively, over the last 90 days. He’s one of the most talented young hitters in baseball, and he squares off with an unproven young lefty and a terrible Angels bullpen at a very appealing price on all sites.
Dean78904: Teoscar Hernandez – In a super small sample, Matthew Boyd has the lowest ERA on the slate (2.38), but he has given up a pile of fly balls as the BABIP (.203) / HR/FB (6.5%) Gods have been on his side so far. This is absolutely turn-on in LA, and Teoscar is probably best positioned to take advantage. Hernandez has the highest ISO (.292) vs. LHPs on the impressive LAD roster, as he is a certifiable lefty masher. The Dodgers are always lurking on a slate, but with it being so big and with LA being pretty tricky to stack salary-wise, I can see them getting lost in the shuffle tonight.
