MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, April 20
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
headChopper: Andy Pages
ebeimfohr: Teoscar Hernandez
boggslite: Teoscar Hernandez
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I am multi-entering large-field GPPs. I am playing Dodgers stacks more than likely above the field – maybe in line with the field, but I certainly won’t be underweight. It’s the 4th game in 4 days at Coors Field, and they’ve lost the last 2 games. I think they blow up today. Pitching is where I can get different. Dylan Cease is the highest pOWN% pitcher, and I will be underweight on him. After Cease and Reid Detmers, there is a big drop-off in pOWN%, and that’s where I can start to mix and match some guys and get different.
ebeimfohr: We have one major standout for SP1, Dylan Cease, but particularly in smaller-field tournaments, the SP2 spot on DraftKings and bats/stacks are wide open, outside of the Dodgers. I’ll be focusing on those tournaments while I lean into more contrarian SP2 options on DraftKings and stacks projecting for lower ownership on both sites, which may include some Dodgers who project for less ownership (since their overall ownership as an offense will likely be extremely high).
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – As much as I love the upside for Dylan Cease, my preference is to load up on Dodgers bats in Coors Field. The Dodgers haven’t scored more than 7 runs in the last 3 games against the Rockies, but I believe that changes tonight. There is some nice value at SP, so I will take advantage of some of the mid-range arms in order to get as many Dodgers bats as I can in my lineups.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
