What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: Today I’m building 20 lineups and entering them in various contests, mostly large-field with top-heavy payouts. Looking at the pitching, I’m planning to eliminate 10 of the 14 teams from my stack pool. I want to condense the offenses I stack while spreading out my top-end pitching more than usual.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – I plan to spread my exposure around at SP while narrowing my bats to just a handful of stacks, primarily in games that won’t be impacted by weather. I don’t see the upside from any of the cheaper pitchers, which will make paying up at pitcher a priority for me. I am fine with sacrificing an expensive bat or two as part of a stack in order to get the pitcher I want and will likely utilize one or more punt batters as well.
ebeimfohr: There are very few hitting spots that are appealing tonight, so I will be looking to really narrow my player pool down and target smaller-field tournaments. There are several pitchers with significant upside tonight, so we can get different at those spots quite easily while looking to the lowest-pOWN% of the few offenses in favorable spots, like the Mets.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – I’m going to continue to lean into batters in Sutter Health Park until it proves a bad idea or the field catches on. I’ll largely eat the chalk at pitcher.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
