MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, August 10
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
headChopper: Junior Caminero
ebeimfohr: Junior Caminero
boggslite: Junior Caminero
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I am playing 1 lineup in small-field tournaments on DraftKings and multi-entering large-field tournaments on FanDuel. Early on, I feel like I’ll be spending up at pitcher unless something drastic happens with a lineup release that leads me to a cheap value arm. Otherwise, Tarik Skubal is a pitcher I’ll have on FanDuel and, more than likely, my SP1 on DraftKings. There are enough good hitting options that I’ll be stacking pretty heavily, because the likelihood of at least one of these offenses going crazy is pretty high. From an exposure standpoint, I expect to be underweight on Arizona stacks and overweight on Houston stacks.
ebeimfohr: I’m focusing on small-field tournaments with a clear plan of attack to fade Tarik Skubal, save a little bit of money at pitcher, and I want to spend up on some pay-to-be-contrarian bats and stacks that don’t project to be overly popular despite being in great spots. My two favorite tournament arms are MacKenzie Gore and Reid Detmers. The Red Sox and Diamondbacks both fit the bill of having an offense in an elite spot but are a little more difficult to get to with super expensive pitching like Skubal.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – Tarik Skubal will be a priority for me in all formats. There are plenty of decent cheaper options to pair with him, and I don’t want to get burned by fading him in his first home start with the Dodgers. Boston is my top stack, and I also have interest in Arizona, Tampa Bay, Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
