Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: This is definitely more of an MME slate for me. There is no way to play all of the high-end pitchers and all of the high-end offenses in a limited-lineup build. Also, completely fading the elite aces or the top bats is not something I’m interested in. In smaller-field contests, I’ll lean a bit more toward fading the Nationals, Tigers, and Cubs, but in larger-field tournaments, I want to get over the field on the Nationals and Tigers, even if that means having less Jacob Misiorowski. I will have several DK lineups where I don’t play the aces, starting with Ryan Weathers and another random cheap dart. In double-ace lineups, I’ll be spreading out to stacks like the Diamondbacks, Rangers, Angels, and Cardinals.

headChopper: I am playing one lineup, mostly in small-field tournaments – one on DraftKings and one on FanDuel. I love the expensive pitchers and think they can dominate, but I will probably end up fading Jacob Misiorowski, Dylan Cease, and Cristopher Sanchez on DraftKings so I can get the hitters I want. On FanDuel, I will more than likely end up with one of the stud pitchers because hitters are easier to come by. With a slate this size, my strategy is to stack as much as possible and hope to land on two high-scoring teams.

ebeimfohr: I intend to focus on smaller-field tournaments, as is my general approach, but tonight is a Jacob Misiorowski night. I plan to force him into my lineups on both sites, which is always popular and always creates salary cap limitations. I’ll be looking to find some cheaper bats and/or stacks to make the salary work, but I will be avoiding whichever popular value options pop up and look for pivots at those spots, especially given the massive size of the slate. On DK, SP2 will also be a spot I’ll be willing to take on some added risk with a more unique arm, ideally at low cost.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – As much as I love the pitching up top, my priority will be to spend up on bats since there are several great hitting spots. I’m not going to intentionally fade guys like Jacob Misiorowski or Dylan Cease, but I also won’t jam them in like I would on a slate where offense is lacking. Washington is my top offense on the slate heading into Coors Field, and if the weather holds up in Chicago, I will play both sides of that game. There is also favorable MLB weather for hitting in Kansas City and a matchup between two poor pitchers in Arizona that I will have exposure to.
