Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

Who is your favorite hitter (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
headChopper: Ben Rice – Everyone already hit on the Boston matchup, so while I love those Boston righties like the other guys, I’ll pivot to Rice. He is a very talented hitter who has posted a .237 ISO against LHP this season, so this split doesn’t bother him much. Schultz has managed only a 19.4% strikeout rate this season while carrying the highest xFIP on the slate at 5.29. His splits are almost equally poor against both lefties and righties.
ebeimfohr: Willson Contreras – The Red Sox get the benefits of hitting in West Sacramento, and Contreras tops the list of Sox targets for me. Interestingly, Jack Perkins has been rather reverse-splitsy, striking out 30% of lefties and allowing a .299 xwOBA compared to a 22% K rate and .335 xwOBA allowed to righties. Contreras has the 7th-highest xwOBA in all of baseball with the 5th-highest wRC+, and he also benefits from the woeful A’s bullpen after Perkins leaves the game.
boggslite: Willson Contreras – He has excellent numbers against RHP and draws a great matchup in a hitter-friendly park against a struggling young righty that has reverse splits. With a bad bullpen behind Jack Perkins and favorable hitting MLB weather, Contreras instantly becomes my top bat to pay up for, especially on DK, where there isn’t a ton of offense to love.
