MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, June 15
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
headChopper: Pete Crow-Armstrong
ebeimfohr: Brandon Lowe
boggslite: Pete Crow-Armstrong
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in large-field tournaments?
headChopper: Yordan Alvarez
ebeimfohr: Ketel Marte
boggslite: Nick Kurtz
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I am playing large-field tournaments that have multiple entries. I’m looking to condense my pitcher pool down to about 5 pitchers, depending on what the lineups look like when we get them. I’m going to be underweight on the Athletics and overweight on the Cubs. My initial overview of the slate is that I don’t think I’ll do much double-stacking. One 3-man, 4-man, or 5-man stack is good enough for me on this slate. There will be a few organic exceptions that our MLB lineup optimizer (LineupHQ) gives me, but I’m not making it a forced rule to double-stack 2 teams in the same lineup.
ebeimfohr: I prefer smaller-field, single-entry tournaments tonight, as my lineups will center around locking in Chase Burns. He is naturally going to be very popular, especially in those contests, but I will look to an option like Dustin May at SP2 on DK and hitters and stacks who are projecting for lower ownership to play with Burns.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – We have a clear ace up top with Chase Burns and some cheaper options like MacKenzie Gore and Dustin May. I will likely narrow my pitching pool to those 3 pitchers and spread my exposure to several stacks that are in great hitting environments. With the wind blowing out at Wrigley Field, the Cubs are my top stack, but I also like both sides of the PIT/ATH game.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
