MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, May 4
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
headChopper: Seiya Suzuki
ebeimfohr: Aaron Judge
boggslite: Ian Happ
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I am playing multiple lineups in large-field tournaments. I want to condense my pitching pool, as I think good pitching is at a premium, and I want to stack every lineup with multiple stacks. That will give me a heavy piece of all the main stacks I like, of which there are plenty. Once you get past, let’s say, the top 4 or 5 implied team totals, you start to see a big dip in pOWN% for those stacks, and I think that’s where I want to attack.
ebeimfohr: I will be focusing more on single-entry, smaller-field tournaments, and I’m actually looking to get a bit more unique with my pitching, which is something that’s generally a little different for my personal strategy. The spots for a couple of the chalkier projected offenses project really far above the rest once you factor in price, and there are a good number of strong arms, which should mean that multiple strong options will be far lower owned.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – There is favorable hitting weather in several games, which will have me loading up on bats, especially with several intriguing value pitchers at different price points. I still want to get at least one ace in my lineups on DK, however, and I will likely be overweight on Cam Schlittler’s strikeout upside.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
