What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I’m going to run 1 hand-built lineup in a variety of contests, including some large-field entries but mostly smaller fields. My pitching will be chalky—I don’t see myself straying from Cole Ragans in particular. I’ll run a 4-man stack, though the team is still to be determined. From there is where I’ll get a bit different by not stacking the rest of my lineup and instead focusing on the best individual plays. It could be 4 one-offs, determined by the salary I have left after locking in my pitcher and primary stack.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – With sketchy weather in the SD/NYY game, I plan to have a narrow pitching pool focusing on Cole Ragans and Matthew Boyd. These are the safest options on the board for me, and I will eat the chalk and look to differentiate my lineups with my bats. On the hitting side, the Royals stand out as a top target for me, but I also plan to spread my exposure around to several different teams, as I expect plenty of runs to be scored tonight.

ebeimfohr: Despite a good-sized slate, I have a very tight core of options that I am considering, so I am leaning heavily into smaller-field, single-entry style of tournaments. This core is not centered around the chalkiest options, so I’m making sure to play the top options in my stacks and prioritize maximizing upside and projection to round out my lineup(s) since the ownership element is well taken care of.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – I’ll likely be over the field on the chalky Cole Ragans, along with mixing and matching SP2s. I’ll get more contrarian with my primary stacks and will have full 5-man stacks in a majority of my lineups.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
