Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I think this slate is fine for tournaments, but I am playing 1 lineup in small-field tournaments. I’m playing this not because I don’t like the slate for large fields. It’s fine, but DraftKings doesn’t have any particularly appealing tournaments I like tonight, and I am not playing 150 lineups in large fields on FanDuel until we sort through what happened in the NFL yesterday (site outage with trying to edit lineups). So, with that hand-built lineup, I think I may try to get a little different and cheaper at at least one of the pitcher spots on DraftKings. I may even go with two off-the-radar pitchers because my hitters will be a primary 4-man or 5-man stack of the Padres. That’s chalk, so I can get different at pitcher. There are actually several options, and I like to wait to see what the MLB lineups look like to find one or two to pick on.

ebeimfohr: I am focusing on smaller-field, single-entry style of tournaments with a pretty clear plan of attack that centers on jamming the top pitcher(s), specifically Reid Detmers, on a very weak pitching slate. With very popular pitching, the big stand will be avoiding the Padres in Coors against Tomoyuki Sugano. Naturally, that is a scary proposition, but their ownership is projected to be through the roof, and they’re also very expensive, leading to the same roster construction on most of those lineups. The Yankees or Marlins at low pOWN% look like a top pivot if the pOWN% I’m seeing early in the day holds.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – There’s not a lot to love at pitcher, but at least most of the options are affordable and project around the same. Reid Detmers has the highest upside, and I plan on pairing him with Kade Anderson on DK. The Padres are getting hot at the right time, and I will be overweight on them with a great matchup in Coors Field. If you’re looking to get different, I would turn to the Braves, Rockies, or Diamondbacks.
