Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I prefer smaller-field tournaments on this 6-game slate. Everything is bunched up closely enough that ownership should be spread out on the hitting side, especially in MME. However, we usually still end up with moderate chalk in single-entry contests, and the teams I like most shouldn’t be among the most-popular options there, outside of perhaps the Royals. I want to ensure I’m over the field on the Mets and Diamondbacks, which will be easy in smaller-field contests. From there, pitcher ownership won’t be as much of a concern, as I’ll concentrate on Jesus Luzardo, Joey Cantillo, and Trevor Rogers.

headChopper: I am playing small-field tournaments on DraftKings and multi-entering large-field tournaments on FanDuel. I like Jesus Luzardo, but there are a few significantly cheaper options I want to target in those large fields. Joey Cantillo, Eury Perez, and even Brayan Bello are intriguing alternatives. Ultimately, it comes down to whether I really need those salary savings, as there aren’t many standout options for stacking. Because of that, I plan to spread out my stack exposure in large fields. For my single-entry lineup in small fields on DraftKings, I can squeeze in Luzardo with a cheap value pitcher and still fit one of my favorite full stacks, Boston.

ebeimfohr: I am pretty locked in on a trio of pitchers – Jesus Luzardo, Joey Cantillo, and Trevor Rogers – but they are also expected to be the most-popular options. So, I’ll look to get off the beaten path with my bats in the smaller-field contests I’m focusing on, particularly honing in on which offenses among the Royals, Mets, and Angels project to be the lowest owned as MLB lineups roll in.
