MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, August 10

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Alex Sonty: Max Fried and cheap Cubs should allow me the salary relief to roll the dice on Paul Skenes in a tough Dodger Stadium matchup. Skenes is just one player, but his salary does morph the lineup into a somewhat contrarian build. If the pOWN% on the Braves and Cubs is too high, I’ll split them up and use the Guardians as my secondary stack.

Bobby Gomes: We have 5 games with totals of 8.5 or more. I will have a condensed group of pitchers today, prioritizing mainly Corbin Burnes, Justin Steele, Max Fried, and River Ryan. My primary stacks will include the Braves, Cubs, Yankees, Red Sox, and Royals. As an MME player, I want to have exposure to the teams that have the highest implied run totals and potential upside.

tcsmith031: The Braves and Cubs are in extremely obvious spots, but the offenses tonight seem to fall off a cliff once you get past them. I’ll still be playing both teams a good amount, but casting a wide net with secondary stacks looks like a decent approach in GPPs on a slate without a ton of clarity beyond the chalk. The Reds, Mariners, Phillies, and, yes, the White Sox, are a few secondary teams on my radar.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll have 100% Max Fried on DraftKings, as I simply don’t care that the game is in Coors Field because he’s so wildly cheap. This will allow me to get to a ton of Braves since they’re expensive and also build plenty of lineups with Burnes or Skenes as my SP1 while still playing a top stack like the Cubs.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
