MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, July 11
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
CheeseIsGood: Shohei Ohtani
Krayton: Shohei Ohtani
TJ Zwarych: Shohei Ohtani
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
CheeseIsGood: I don’t have a strong preference between tournament formats tonight, as my player pool and general strategy would be the same in both. Asusming salary doesn’t allow for Yoshinobu Yamamoto + Dodgers stacks, my first preference is getting as many of my favorite individual bats as I can get without worrying about stacking. I will only drift down to full stacking when it is needed for salary purposes, and that will likely lead me to more 3-3-2, 4-3-1 types of builds. At pitcher, my primary pool will be narrowed down to Yamamoto, Trey Yesavage, and then sprinklings of Noah Cameron and Kumar Rocker.
Krayton: I will be playing 20-max contests on both sites along with single-entry contests. I like the idea of locking in Yoshinobu Yamamoto on DK and having him in at least half of my lineups on FD. The Dodgers, Reds, and Braves are the top stacks I will be getting exposure to, with the Reds being the stack I will be most overweight on.
TJ Zwarych: My preference is to play 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and since it’s a small slate, I’ll likely have at least a couple stacks of each team. I’m going to have Yoshinobu Yamamoto in every single lineup that isn’t a Diamondbacks stack, so I’ll likely be in the 90-95% range in my exposure to him. I’ll be light on the Cubs against Nick Lodolo, but I’ll be overweight on both the Reds and the Dodgers.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
