MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, July 13
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: I am going to have a narrow pitching pool today, focusing on pitchers who can give some strikeout upside. This is not a high upside slate for arms, so there’s no reason to try to spread out too much with them. It is unlikely that fading any of the low upside pitchers like Seth Lugo will be the reason you lose a GPP today. Grayson Rodriguez and Edward Cabrera are my favorite arms, and they are the only pitchers who have strikeout props of 6+ on this slate as of the time I am writing this.
Krayton: This is a slate where I will be prioritizing my bats as well as mostly paying down at pitcher with not much standing out at the top for me. I like taking pitchers like Gavin Williams, Tyler Phillips, and Christian Scott, as they give us good savings and allow us to pay up for the top bats on the slate. CIN and PHI are two of my favorite stacks, and paying down at pitcher allows you to get Elly De La Cruz, Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper and the other key bats.
tcsmith031: Pitching looks horrible today, which means there probably aren’t any wrong answers. I’m inclined to roll the dice on some cheaper options as a result, with Christian Scott, Edward Cabrera, and Gavin Williams all offering some upside at reasonable salaries. I also don’t hate the idea of flipping the build and playing Luis Gil Roulette if he’s not going to attract any ownership in a tough spot at Baltimore.
TJ Zwarych: Pitching is pretty gross, but I still don’t plan on utilizing any of the spend up options. Kutter Crawford at super low projected ownership is the only one I want to take any shots on, while I want to take advantage of the cheap options like Christian Scott, Gavin Williams, Mitchell Parker, and Tyler Phillips.
