MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, June 1

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I am going to spread out my pitching exposure to get some lower-owned options, as Chris Sale is going to soak up a huge percentage of ownership. If one of the cheaper options can at least somewhat keep pace with Sale, that puts me in a decent spot. I am then going to narrow down my stacks, with Atlanta and Texas being my two favorite teams to target.

Krayton: As much as I love Chris Sale today in a great spot against Oakland, I will be looking to pay down at pitcher with some great cheaper options available, such as Robert Gasser, Taj Bradley, Cooper Criswell, and Reese Olson. I like being able to get the top bats and stacks in my lineups, such as ATL, TEX, and SDP. I will still have a lineup or two with Chris Sale and a cheaper pitching option, but I really like the builds with two cheaper pitchers.

tcsmith031: There doesn’t seem to be one obvious offense standing out above the rest today, so I plan to spread out my stack exposure while focusing on a tighter pitching pool. Expensive stacks like the Braves and Rangers look fairly obvious, though I think we can find value with stacks like the Marlins and Nationals in solid spots of their own.

TJ Zwarych: Chris Sale is the top pitcher by such a wide margin that I’ll be locking him in for MME builds. I’ll mix and match different SP2s like Robert Gasser and Reese Olson to be able to afford a few expensive bats, but Sale is going to be in every single lineup.

Who is your top overall pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
