What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: I am rolling with a single-entry approach today. I am not going to overthink things at pitcher, as there isn’t much to love with Zack Wheeler as the far-and-away SP1 choice on this slate. I’m going to take a stand with Atlanta as my favorite stack, and while they won’t be super low owned overall, I will sprinkle in a hitter or two from the bottom of the order (like Nacho Alvarez) to make my stack different.
Krayton: I will be playing my usual single-entry and 20-entry max contests today. This is one of those days where Zack Wheeler is such a strong play at pitcher at the top that I am considering locking him in and then seeing what stacks I can get to on both sites. There’s enough value options (such as MIN on DraftKings) that allow you to get Wheeler along with a handful of bigger bats.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs, and I’ll keep a really tight pitching pool while differentiating my stacks. Zack Wheeler and Cade Povich are my top targets, and the only other pitchers I have any interest in sprinkling in are Zack Littell, Quinn Priester, and maybe Joey Wentz.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
