MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, August 4
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: I am going to take a few bold stances today. The first is to go way overweight on Paul Skenes over Max Fried as my SP1 choice. Fried has the golden matchup against the Marlins, but I don’t believe he has the strikeout upside to break the slate. Give me Skenes despite his tougher matchup. I also like getting exposure to some sneakier stacks, with the Brewers being my favorite option.
Krayton: I will have a very narrow pitching pool today, with Paul Skenes being a guy I lock in on DK today. I also like getting to Spencer Arrighetti and even Ryne Nelson (DK) on the cheaper side. That allows you to get some bigger bats in your lineup.

tcsmith031: We’re likely to see concentrated ownership between Paul Skenes, Spencer Arrighetti, and Max Fried on the pitching front today. I don’t have any qualms with any of them, but I do still plan to get some exposure to high-upside options like Gerrit Cole, Corbin Burnes, and Nick Pivetta at what should be a decent ownership discount in GPPs. Going heavy with Skenes and casting a wide net with the SP2 spot looks like an appealing multi-entry strategy.
TJ Zwarych: I don’t have confidence in many pitchers today, with most of the top options from a talent perspective having really tough matchups. Therefore, I’ll have Paul Skenes in every single lineup, hitting the lock button on him in my MME build. I’ll mix and match players like Gerrit Cole, Nick Pivetta, and Spencer Arrighetti as my SP2, as all of them have high ceilings but really low floors in tough matchups.
