MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, June 14

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Shohei Ohtani
Krayton: Shohei Ohtani
TJ Zwarych: Shohei Ohtani

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I am having a hard enough time narrowing down the offenses and SP2 options that I prefer large-field tournaments and MME today. Beyond Cristopher Sanchez, I just don’t see that one pitcher I want to be over the field on, so I’ll spread out mostly among Will Warren, Bryce Elder, and Emmet Sheehan, or cheaper darts like Michael McGreevy, Stephen Kolek, and Trevor Rogers. It will get a little easier if we are able to use Gavin Williams, but that weather looks dicey. On the hitting side, I can sort of prioritize the Dodgers, but there are really close to a dozen teams closely bunched up top, so I don’t think I can narrow this down to a single-entry lineup.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry and 20-max contests on both sites. Cristopher Sanchez is the pitcher I am prioritizing even though he’s expensive. On DK, I will be mixing in some of the cheaper options, such as Michael McGreevy and Stephen Kolek in order to get the stacks I like. I am going back to the Dodgers as my top stack again, but beyond them, I will be mixing in several stacks that look appealing, including ARI, SEA, CIN, and BAL.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments. I want to be overweight on both pitchers in the Phillies vs. Brewers game. Since I want to spend up at pitcher, I’ll need some cheap stacks, and my favorite places to look are the lower parts of the Orioles and Mariners lineups.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
