MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, May 10

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

stlcardinals84: Nick Kurtz
Krayton: Nick Kurtz
TJ Zwarych: Nick Kurtz

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I will be playing around 10 entries in the large-field tournaments. I plan to be significantly overweight on Cristopher Sanchez and Logan Gilbert as my favorite arms, especially since this is a very thin slate for pitching options. On the hitting side, I really like the left-handed pop for the Athletics against a rapidly declining pitcher in Chris Bassitt.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry and 20-max contests on both sites. I intend on having a small pitching pool, with Cristopher Sanchez being a pitcher I will be overweight on. I won’t be playing Davis Martin on FD, but on DK, I will be overweight on him as well. For the bats, the Phillies, A’s, and Reds are my favorites that I want to be overweight on.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments. I’ll be keeping a very tight pitcher pool so I can mix and match the many strong offenses available. I’m debating hitting the lock button on Cristopher Sanchez, with Jose Soriano and Gavin Williams being my favorite pivots.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
