MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, May 31

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

stlcardinals84: Casey Schmitt (FD) / Ronald Acuna Jr. (DK)
Krayton: Casey Schmitt (FD) / Ronald Acuna Jr. (DK)
TJ Zwarych: Casey Schmitt (FD) / Ronald Acuna Jr. (DK)

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I prefer large-field tournaments. This slate is quite a bit more fun than the ones we had yesterday. There are a lot of strong pitchers with some decent offense as well. I am going to make sure to get overweight on Jacob Misiorowski as my SP1 in every single format no matter what his ownership looks like, with Shane McClanahan as my favorite risk/reward arm. I will run a narrower pitching pool and spread out my stacks a bit, though the Brewers and Padres are a couple of my favorites.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry and 20-max contests on both sites. I will be very overweight on Jacob Misiorowski at pitcher. I like being able to get different with my stacks, as I have a lot of interest in the Pirates, White Sox, Nationals, and Padres. The Padres are projected to be popular because they are very cheap, but I love getting the Pirates and White Sox at low projected ownership.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments. I’ll be hitting the lock button on Jacob Misiorowski on both sites while differentiating my stacks. Atlanta is my top stack, but I’m also going to get a ton of Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, and the Chicago White Sox.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
