What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I’ll have just 1 lineup on each site, sticking to smaller fields with limited entries. On a small slate, it’s tough to get away from the Arizona stack, so the differentiation has to come elsewhere. With the limited pitching options, I’m not sure I can get entirely different there, but the 3 or 4 hitters outside of my Arizona stack will come from off-the-board plays—either from lower-total teams or guys hitting at the bottom of the order.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field type of contests. One of the slate’s big decision points is Tarik Skubal vs. Coors Field. I’m leaning toward prioritizing Coors because I really like the SP pivots (e.g. Jesus Luzardo and Edward Cabrera), and the hitting environment and terrible pitching in Colorado are just too good to pass up. Additionally, I wouldn’t have to worry about the potentially dicey weather situation for Skubal.

ebeimfohr: I am diving into my typical smaller-field, single-entry–style tournaments with an emphasis on Coors Field. I am plugging my nose and fading Tarik Skubal, as there is some dicey weather in that game and his price tag is extremely prohibitive in terms of the bats we can afford. That means I’ll be looking to low-owned pitching options at SP2 on DK and cycling through some lesser-owned secondary bats and secondary stacks.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
