MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, June 18
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
headChopper: Bobby Witt Jr.
stevietpfl: Ben Rice
Notorious: Ben Rice
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I prefer small-field tournaments. This pitching is so bad that I am more likely to roster my hitters first and see what I have left over for pitching. When pitching is this bad, it usually means there are plenty of good stacks, and there are. For such a small slate, I see multiple stack spots I want to get to. But with one lineup, I cannot attack them all, so it looks like I will be underweight on the Athletics and Angels stacks and see if I can get the proper Yankees stack I want.
stevietpfl: I’m not in love with the pitching on this slate. I’m going to build a handful of lineups for large-field tournaments. My biggest stand – I’ll be underweight on Sean Manaea and overweight on the Phillies. Manaea is getting a lot of pOWN% and has struggled with command against righties. If these righties can get him out early, the lefties have upside against this bullpen.
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. I’m not looking to get too cute on this slate. I want to be overweight on the Yankees, who are at home with the wind blowing out 20+ mph. They have a decent matchup against Sean Burke, who has struggled with lefties in his career. My biggest fade is going to be Sean Manaea. He is cheap and has decent numbers, but I’m not sure he ever deserves to be 50% owned, especially on the road against a capable offense.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
