MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, June 25
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
headChopper: Yordan Alvarez
stevietpfl: Yordan Alvarez
Notorious: Alec Burleson
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I am playing small-field tournaments that have limited entries and will be building 1 hand-built lineup on each site. I’m not getting crazy at pitcher. I am playing the chalk. Cristopher Sanchez is too good. For SP2, it will be one of the top six options. It depends on how much salary I have left after choosing my hitters. I’m probably going to find a stack I like on each site and fill in the remaining hitter spots with some Phillies and a one-off from a random team.
stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on small-field tournaments. This is completely opposite of yesterday. I love this pitching slate. I want to be overweight on Cristopher Sanchez, Cam Schlittler, and Kevin Gausman. I’d play Matthew Boyd if he were stretched out, but he only threw 59 pitches in his final rehab start. The Cardinals seem to be getting a lot of chatter early in the day, and as much as I like this spot for them, they’re the team I’m going to take a big stand against.
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. Even though the Cardinals have the best matchup on the slate, they aren’t projected for much ownership. It’s likely because they are the Cardinals and they’re priced up a bit on both sites. I’m planning to roll out a full Cardinals stack in my main lineup. Zac Gallen has the following slate-worst metrics: xERA, K:BB ratio, xwOBA allowed, and HC% allowed. I don’t feel as good about this part of my build, but I am not playing Cristopher Sanchez, so that will naturally make me different than a large portion of the field.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
