What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I prefer small-field contests today, focusing on single-entry and 3-entry max formats. It’s a small slate with strong pitching, so I think there’s a good opportunity to hunt for home runs rather than go with full-on stacks. Some individual matchups stand out more than the overall team spots. I’m likely spending up on hitting, targeting elite power bats, and then circling back to pitching—fitting in the two best arms I can with the remaining salary.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry contests. We have such an odd baby slate where the worst SP is basically league average. Preflop, no offense is well-positioned for fireworks, so I expect to homer hunt, leading me to 3-3-1-1 / 3-2-2-1 type lineup constructions in the smaller contests I play. James Outman is cheap, has power, and should crack the Dodgers’ lineup. He’ll be the first place I look if I need a salary saver.

ebeimfohr: It’s a small slate with just 4 games, but there are basically no “bad” pitchers on the entire board. Despite that, we have a couple of offensive spots that are significantly projected for higher ownership than the others, so leaning into smaller fields—where I can get huge ownership leverage on spots that are not too dissimilar—is my main strategy.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
