What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
CheeseIsGood: I have enough to like on both the pitching and hitting sides that I prefer MME tonight. In single-entry contests, I’ll be looking to fade the Brewers and may need to consider going lighter on the Orioles and Rays as well. In MME, I will play those teams with a spread-it-out approach at pitcher, but in smaller-field tournaments, I prefer to play the more obvious top pitchers and pivot to teams like the Cubs, Diamondbacks, Giants, Reds, and even Royals.
headChopper: I’ll be playing 20 entries in various large-field GPPs. Unlike last night, when I was more focused on nailing the right two-man combination at pitcher and leaned away from stacking, I want to dig for some midrange options at pitcher tonight and go full-on with stacking.
stevietpfl: I’ll be playing a mix of single-entry to large-field contests. We have great pitching and hitting options on this slate. I’m not concerned with ownership outside of the Brewers. Early looks on LineupHQ and SimLabs show pOWN% spread out enough that I’m going to focus on the hitters and pitchers I like.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. This slate is highlighted by a slew of good pitchers, lots of unappealing hitting weather, and then there is Coors Field. The opportunity cost is real when it comes to SP, so I won’t be messing around, and I’ll be sure to pick my pitchers exclusively from the “good” bucket and not mess with any of the goofy punts. I don’t expect to play any full Brewers stacks, but I’m leaving open the possibility of mini stacks with 2-3 Brewers in a lineup. Mini stacks could be a theme for me, as I am more likely to have 3-3-2 type of lineups as opposed to the traditional 4-4 / 5-3 stacks.
