MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, August 27
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
CheeseIsGood: Mookie Betts
SquirrelPatrol: Mookie Betts
Stevietpfl: Rafael Devers
boggslite: Mookie Betts
Who is your favorite hitter (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
CheeseIsGood: Jackson Merrill – With the exception of Mookie Betts, I don’t really love any of the super-expensive bats on this slate. I prefer to focus on the mid-$4,000 range on DK and the mid-$ 3,000 range on FD. There, we find bats like Jackson Merrill, who will be somewhat overlooked on this slate despite the ideal matchup. Miles Mikolas throws a ton of hittable strikes, allowing a .212 ISO to lefties with just 18% K% and 38% GB%. Merrill leads the Padres with a .223 ISO and 11.9% barrel rate against righties to go along with his low strikeouts.
SquirrelPatrol: Jake Burger – The top of the Marlins lineup isn’t looking too bad today, with Connor Norby, Jake Burger, and Jesus Sanchez all carrying ISOs over .200 and wOBAs over .340 vs. RHP going back to the start of last season. Burger should be hitting second in the lineup, has a .233 ISO vs. RHP over the past 2 seasons, and he has a .394 ISO and .444 wOBA since the All-Star Break.

Stevietpfl: Rafael Devers – Opposing pitcher Yariel Rodriguez has struggled with command all season, but he’s been awful against lefties over the last 30 days, with a 20% walk rate, .259 ISO allowed, and .355 wOBA allowed. The Red Sox are my favorite stack, and Devers has a .356 ISO with a .448 wOBA against RHP this season. He continues to be one of the best hitters in baseball, and like I just said, I like the Red Sox a lot.
boggslite: Ryan McMahon – If you can’t quite get to Rafael Devers at third base, consider McMahon at a discount with a great matchup against a struggling righty, Roddery Munoz, who has average strikeout ability and has been crushed by lefties this season. Always a better hitter at home, McMahon makes for a solid all-around play on a night where third base isn’t as deep as it usually is.
