MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, June 17

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Seiya Suzuki
boggslite: Brandon Lowe
TJ Zwarych: Brandon Lowe

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I will be playing small-field tournaments. While I think George Kirby is a fine play in a vacuum, he’s going to soak up a ton of ownership in small-field contests. His matchup is far from ideal, as the Orioles have 7 batters in their lineup with an xwOBA of at least .325 against RHP. Fading him will naturally make me a little different from most of the field. For my hitters, I’m going to stack the Cubs again, because I’m a glutton for punishment.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – This slate favors bats, especially with many of the higher-end arms drawing difficult matchups. I will still try to get at least one of George Kirby and/or Gavin Williams in my lineups, but I won’t force them in and will carry some risk with some of the cheaper options like Javier Assad or Brandon Sproat in their given matchups if I need the salary relief. The Cubs and Pirates are my top stacks to target, but I will also have exposure to the Blue Jays, Red Sox, and Braves.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I’ll get as overweight as possible on the Wrigley wind game and the matchup between the Pirates and Athletics with my bats. Gavin Williams will be my priority at pitcher, and I’ll try to mix and match some of the cheaper SP2s alongside him.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
