MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, September 11
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
SquirrelPatrol: Yordan Alvarez
Stevietpfl: Mookie Betts
TheLuuch: Kyle Tucker
Alex Sonty: Yordan Alvarez
Who is your favorite hitter (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
SquirrelPatrol: Yordan Alvarez – Alvarez has a .295 ISO and .414 wOBA vs. RHP dating back to the start of last season, and Houston is one of four teams with an implied run total right around 5 runs. Oakland RHP Joey Estes has allowed a career .482 SLG% to lefties in his career, putting Alvarez in a good spot.
Stevietpfl: Matt Wallner – Wallner was my favorite hitter on last night’s slate, and I’m going right back to the well on him and the Twins. Jack Kochanowicz has a 5.5% strikeout rate with a .141 ISO and a .362 wOBA against left-handed hitters this season. I like to target Wallner against low-strikeout pitchers. He has a .315 ISO with a .416 wOBA against right-handed pitching. He also has a 68.7% hard-hit rate with a 21.7% barrel rate in those at-bats.

TheLuuch: Matt Wallner – The Twins are my 1B stack, and Wallner has everything I’m looking for. Jack Kochanowicz is striking out just 7% (SEVEN!!) of hitters, and he’s throwing his sinker over 70% of the time. It’s a very small sample size of 31 plate appearances dating back to last season, but against right-handed sinkers, Wallner has just a 23% ground-ball rate and an ISO over .400.
Alex Sonty: Seiya Suzuki – Bobby Miller can’t keep the ball in the ballpark, and Dodger Stadium is the 2nd-best home run park in baseball, according to Statcast. This season, Miller is surrendering a 10.1% barrel rate to righties on a 62% hard-hit rate through 116 batters faced. Suzuki has a 13% barrel rate on a 52.1% hard-hit rate and a 35.7% fly-ball rate against RHP.
