Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stevietpfl: I’ll be focusing on 1-3 lineups in small-field tournaments. This is a great pitching slate, which leaves it very limited for stack options. On FD, you can throw in bats from Tampa and Pittsburgh. With that being said, the Brewers, Dodgers, Twins, and Tigers are my top options. I want more of a 3-3-2 build than a full stack build on this slate. I don’t think we’re going to see any offense really explode for a game of 10+ runs. As far as pitching, it’s great to have these options. Jacob Misiorowski, Cam Schlittler, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto are my favorite spend-up options. On FD, I think Dylan Cease is a great tournament pivot and the only option I’d add to my DK list. I like Reid Detmers and Noah Cameron as the cheaper options.

Notorious: I’ll be in the single-entry and small-field tournament streets. I’m taking my chances with a fade of the best pitcher in baseball (Jacob Misiorowski). I don’t expect him to pitch poorly, but he’s priced at a premium on the road against a talented Cubs offense. Additionally, the wind is blowing straight out to center field at Wrigley. Fading him will naturally help me be a little different. On DraftKings specifically, I like using Reid Detmers as an SP2 and stacking the Marlins.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I want to spend up at pitcher as much as possible, so I’ll be focusing on cheap stacks. I’ll be ignoring most of the expensive bats outside of Yordan Alvarez and instead using players like Jackson Chourio and Munetaka Murakami as my primary spend-up options in most lineups.
